This research examines the role and impact of urban furniture and spaces on the psychological comfort of citizens in the city of Ardabil. The research method is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in nature, with data collection carried out through library research, fieldwork, and observation. The statistical population is the city of Ardabil, and due to its vastness, random sampling was used. The sample size was determined to be 287 people using Morgan’s table, and accordingly, the questionnaire was distributed among this group. Data analysis was conducted both descriptively and inferentially using SPSS software and the one-sample T-test. The findings derived from the data analysis with SPSS and the T-test indicate that the results for the first, second, and third hypotheses yielded test statistics of (t = 17.91), (t = 5.919), and (t = 28.366), respectively. Therefore, all three hypotheses regarding the influence of urban furniture and spaces on the components of psychological comfort, mental health, and satisfaction of Ardabil’s citizens were confirmed. This demonstrates that urban space has a reciprocal impact on mental well-being. The overall conclusion of the study highlights the effect of urban furniture on the mental and emotional state of Ardabil’s citizens. Hence, it is recommended that city officials provide urban furniture designed in accordance with the psychological needs of the residents.
