Abstract
The relationship between environmental education and environmental justice is one of the new topics that has attracted the attention of geography researchers. Researchers believe that education and awareness of one's rights towards the environment have a significant impact on environmental behavior and environmental protection, and in other words, the main goal of the present study is to investigate the impact of education on citizens of Amol city with an emphasis on environmental justice. The research method is descriptive-analytical. The statistical sample consisted of 384 residents of Amol city, who were calculated using the Cochran formula and randomly selected. The instrument of this study was a questionnaire developed by the researcher, whose validity and reliability were confirmed using experts' opinions and Cronbach's alpha at 0.919. Data analysis in this study was performed using one-sample t-tests in SPSS software. The results of the single-sample T-test, considering the Likert scale of 4, can be said that the effect of environmental education on environmental justice in the city of Amol is at a moderate level. The T-value index shows that the research question is meaningful. Considering the research assumption that the city of Amol is moderately consistent with the overlapping indicators of urban environmental education with an emphasis on environmental justice; after conducting the desired test and the analyses performed, it can be concluded that the effect of environmental education on environmental justice in the city of Amol is not high.
